John really cares about the well-being and safety of his clients and is very knowledgeable in the realm of personal fitness. John’s experience along with the fact that he was Precision Nutrition certified led me to Ocean State Fit.

 

At first I was hesitant about working with a personal trainer and whether or not they would be committed to keeping my workouts injury free. John proved to me that by working with him and slowly introducing me to tougher exercises and putting correct form above all I was reassured that I had made the right decision in working with him.

 

I was pleasantly surprised by John's attention to all aspects of fitness including how I moved and my posture.  The fact that he also went above and beyond to coach and educate me, not keeping an eye on the clock, but in fact spending hours outside our sessions to help me with my diet and exercise questions, only confirmed my inital impression of his dedication.

I have had many friends come up to me of late and comment that it seems to them that I’ve lost a bit of weight.

 

Well, in truth, I have lost a few pounds but it is my posture that is now so much better since starting my personalized training sessions with John Miller of Ocean State Fit.

 

My original intentions for working with John had to do with my constant lower back pain and how it was affecting everything from work, a golf swing or a simple walk. It is something I have always lived with but it had considerably worsened over the last few years.

 

Knowing John from his affiliation with Kirkbrae Country Club, I approached him about the pain and he suggested coming by for a couple of sessions. That first session was over a year ago and I haven’t stopped training since! My lower back has never felt so good. By analyzing the things I could and couldn’t do, John developed a program that was right for my situation and the end results are proof. My back pain has left me and I have so much more mobility than I ever had. Working with John has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

As a member of Kirkbrae Country Club, I ended up choosing Ocean State Fit and John, because he was highly recommended by other members and for its convenience. I am able to meet John and use the facilities at KCC.
 
Initally I was hesitant to work with a trainer because my perception was that it would be very rigorous work-outs and an impersonal relationship with the trainer. I also thought that scheduling sessions would be difficult and that I would have to commit to the same day/time every week.
 
I quickly discovered my perceptions were way off.  This has not been the case at all because John is always accommodating and willing to work with my schedule, even if it means changing some of his other appointments. I have a very nice relationship with John, he tailors each and every session to my exact needs, with a lot of attention to preventing injuries.
 
I enjoy working with John because he is truly passionate about fitness, nutrition, and training the correct way. Each session is different, and is based on my own individual progress. I feel I get very close personal attention from him. The work-outs are very challenging but not overly strenuous. He is always on time for our sessions, takes a real interest in how I am doing, and is a genuinely friendly and caring guy.

Even though I am extremely busy with work, family, etc, somehow John is able to fit me in whenever it works for me. This is something very important to a professional person like myself who cannot always predict his own availability. John is very understanding about this, and works hard to ensure that I am getting the most out of my time.
